Solander is a Swedish pop/folk/indie trio on the search for higher grounds and deeper forests to explore. We like making simple pop songs but always twist them around one way or another. The songs we write may often sound a bit sad, but for some reason playing sad songs makes us happy. Thanks for listening!

We have a new single and video out! It’s called Book of Advice. Hope you like it! 

“We’re happy to present you this lovely video for Solander’s new single “Book Of Advice”, made by the Swedish stop motion and short film director Susanna Lycke.

This video is made by scissors, paper and glue, all put together with a magic hand and a lot of patient from the talented Susanna Lycke. Over 6000 pictures were taken to a stop motion, and complete with animations on top of it. Its indeed a creative video! Officially released worldwide Monday 12th. Enjoy this beauty!”

Hannover. Feinkostlampe, Bathroom bontempi fan organ!

All right. First post in a long time! I’ll try to summarize the first days of our tour. We started our travels in Hamburg with a great evening at Matthias and Anjes place! Thank you so much for great company and great hospitality!

We then drove to Hannover to this really cosy place called Feinkostlampe and had our live premier of the tour and it was just amazing! Thank you so much Claudia and Arne and everyone who came to the show! We’ll remember this evening for a long time!! It was quite early sold out, sorry that everyone wasn’t able to get into the show but we’ll try to make it up to you next time!

Next day we went to Stuttgart and did a really crammed show at Café Galao. Met up with some dear friends and went almost straight to Würzburg after the show where we spent the next two days with our dear friends Madlen, Mareike and Tilman. We really love to spend time in Würzburg and this time we among other things got to see this picturesque town Sommerhausen, Madlens cinema in Ochsenfurt and Tilmans vacation pictures from Sweden this summer! All in all, it was ace! The grande finale of our Würzburg stay was a film screening by Iris Piers! Pics and more text about that soon!
